First Baptist Church, Friona is a loving, diverse congregation that was organized in 1914, and is currently affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. Our goal is to make followers of Jesus Christ by “Putting Christ First in Friona.” We do this through Sunday worship services, Wednesday night fellowship meals, children’s activities, Bible study, and by ministering to the community in various other ways. Brett Hoyle, Pastor has been in Friona since 2009 and is so thankful that God has called him here to serve the Lord and His Church.
Our goal is to Put Christ First in Friona. We do this by accomplishing our mission, which is to fulfill the great commandment and fulfill the great commission. The means we achieve this Christ-centered mission is through worship, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, missions and ministry.
FBC Friona is a part of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention and the Amarillo Area Baptist association to advance the spread of the gospel in support of mission projects, missionaries and opportunities that partner churches with gospel work across the globe.
Doctrinally, we stand on God’s Word, as revealed in the 66 books of the Bible. Many of our doctrinal beliefs are laid out in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
